ATLANTA (AP) - The Georgia House has adopted legislation that would expand the definition of textbooks to include digital devices and online books.

The bill was approved unanimously in the House on Wednesday. It allows schools to use funds earmarked for textbook purchases in elementary and secondary schools to use that money for items like e-readers.

The House bill made some changes to a version that passed in the Senate. It now returns to the Senate.
