Hamilton County Woman Charged with TennCare Fraud

HAMILTON COUNTY (WRCB) --  A Hamilton County woman is charged with TennCare fraud.

 Erica J. Davis, 26, of Chattanooga is accused of trying to pass forged prescriptions for the painkiller hydrocodone. She's accused to trying to get Xanax - which is an anti-anxiety medication - and Atenolol, a drug prescribed for hypertension, the same way.  The prescriptions were written for another person who has TennCare benefits. 

The TennCare fraud charge against Davis could result in a two year sentence, if convicted.
