Crimestoppers: Thief Caught On Tape!

Chattanooga Police are trying to track down a suspect who shattered the door on a pharmacy and made off with narcotics worth thousands of dollars.

Investigators are calling this guy a professional.  They say he disabled an alarm, and in no time flat.  Snatched up drugs worth 20 thousand bucks.

Detective Jeff Bryden says, "Our hope is somebody sees it, somebody tells us or some he sells will call and tip us."

Detectives say the suspect drilled a hole through the door of the garden center at the Kmart store on Highway 153 then made his way to the pharmacy, smashed a window and went inside.

Bryden says, "He didn't touch any other drugs than the ones he took."

Drugs like hydrocodone. oxycodone and bottles of morphine, to the tune of 20 thousand dollars.

Bryden adds, "There's a demand for it yes, if you know the right people."

Investigators say the thief might have known the right people to help him commit this crime as well.

Bryden says, "When they cut the power lines to the store it made it unique, most people don't know what lines to even cut."

Police are looking for a white man about 5-7 to 5-10.  He's heavy set.  At the time he was wearing a hooded jacket and a ski mask.
