ALABAMA

All roads in DeKalb County are declared impassable and treacherous, irrespective of barricade status. The County Commission has declared a local state of emergency. Motorists are urged to refrain from non-emergency travel. 

Highway 35 closed because of ice

Highway 40 closed because of ice

AL Hwy 68 from Collinsville to Dawson very treacherous, nearly impassable.

County Road 494 ice on roadway but passable with caution

AL Hwy 117 Valley Head through Mentone severe icing, nearly impassable, travel not advised

Colbran Gap Road (CR 81) impassable

Portersville Gap Road (CR 83) impassable

Bridges on AL Hwy 35 in Rainsville and at Powell Crossing, some ice on bridges, use caution.

Ft. Payne Gap (3rd Street, Ft. Payne) closed and barricaded

Beason Gap Road (Ft. Payne City) closed and barricaded

Hwy 35  South of Ft. Payne on Lookout Mountain many reported slick spots, use extreme caution

CR 89/DeSoto Pkwy iced in area of DeSoto State Park

AL HWY 68 between US Hwy 11 and Cherokee County line reports of numerous icey spots.

Al Hwy 68 between Crossville and Kilpatrick serious icing.

    (WRCB) - Good Wednesday. After a freezing start for many, we will see a slow warming trend over the next few days that will take us into the 80s by the weekend.We start with today with highs reaching the low 60s this afternoon with sunny skies. Tonight, we will drop back into the 30s, though I do expect it o be a little warmer than this morning. Still, I would not be surprised to see some patchy frost in some isolated spots.We will have sunshine with highs in the upper 60s Thursday afternoon....More

    Now, thanks to life-saving research done in the labs at St. Jude, the overall survival rate is more than 80 percent.  In this Story of Hope, Jed Mescon takes us inside a lab and talks with a researcher who says his work wouldn't be possible without supporters like you.
