South Pittsburg teacher charged with DUI

A South Pittsburg teacher has been charged with DUI.

A Tennessee State Trooper charged 39-year-old Shannon Michaels with DUI December 19th.

The report states several people had reported the truck she was driving.

The trooper stated in the report that Michaels crossed the fog line several times and that is when he stopped her.

He could smell alcohol. She has a court date in march.

For two minutes, Stephanie Fowler talked to Whitfield County 911 dispatchers from her home on Country Way, asking for help. She told them her husband, Sheldon Fowler, was falling over furniture and wouldn't leave their daughter's room.
