Timothy Shuntal Beasley faces an Aggravated Assault charge for an incident involving Rheubin Taylor II.
An affidavit filed in Hamilton County Sessions Court shows Taylor, son of current Hamilton County Attorney Rheubin Taylor, Senior, called police from the East Third Street Auto Zone on December 21st.
Taylor told officers he was leaving the store when he was approached by Beasley and three other men, a couple of whom flashed weapons at him and made verbal threats.
Taylor said he ran over a curb trying to drive away and that Beasley followed him for a few blocks before Taylor managed to lose him on a side street.
Beasley is currently serving four years of supervised probation for Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment for his role in a 2003 post-Bessie Smith Strut shoot out with Taylor that killed 20-year old Tory Hardy.
In 2006, a jury convicted Taylor of Voluntary Manslaughter for Hardy's death. He was granted Judicial Diversion and was under house arrest for a year.
Beasley is due in Sessions Court on January 8th to answer to the new charge.
