Grizzly Nation has Chattanooga's back in FCS Contract Battle
Eyewitness News Reporter

Chattanooga, TN (WRCB) -- The Montana faithful have made the trip to Finley Stadium 5 times in the past 13 years.  That's 2100 miles one-way, and yes a lot of them drove.  Some non-stop, and they are willing to do it again.

Montana fans say traveling 21-hundred miles is all just part of the grizzly nation. They've done it 5 times in the past 13 years.  And the location, is a just a bonus.

32 hours, 2,100 miles, straight through, says one faith full fan.

As for next year, he says, "We did it last year, if the grizz make it back next year, there's a good chance we'll be back again."

Regardless if the grizz make it to the title game again next year, the question for both Montana and Chattanooga is where will it be.  Frisco, TX, or the scenic city.

Another member of the Grizz Nation says Chattanooga is, "Very hospitable, it's nice to walk down the street and get high fived, welcome back grizz, hope you come back last year.  Really nice people, southern hospitality, love it."

"Absolutely, it's always fun here.  I hope they get to keep it here, the other two sites that are in the running, won't be as good as Chattanooga," Says a Montana Alum.

Now the city of Chattanooga just needs the ncaa to think like the grizzlie nation.  Shouldn't be that hard, both Montana and the NCAA have been a part of Finely Stadium for quite some time.  And if were up to Montana, Chattanooga is a stop on the schedule they don't plan on canceling.

Another Montana Alum says, "Chattanooga's fun, it's a fun city, it sorta reminds us of Missoula, it's a small community.  It's not too big, it's not too small, people here are friendly just like we are in Missoula."
