Football Games Moved To Thursday

Posted: Updated:

Chattanooga, TN (WRCB)---Here is a list of High School Football games that have been moved to Thursday October 22, 2009 due to the threat of rain on Friday.

Ridgeland announced Tuesday it has decided to move its homecoming game with Heritage to Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET.

Meigs County at Sequatchie County will be played at 8pm.

McMinn County at Walker Valley will be played at 7:30pm.

Fields around the area are still in bad shape because of persistent precipitation over the last month. Thunderstorms wiped out nearly half the scheduled games two weeks ago and forced a large number of Saturday evening make-up dates.

Many schools around the area are in talks to move their games up a day to Thursday, or simply earlier in the evening on Friday in hopes of beating Mother Nature.
