LIVELINES: FORMER OFFICER HEARING & SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY

A controversial ex-cop will *not* be getting his job back after city leaders upheld the firing of Kenneth Freeman.

Freeman went before a city council panel of five members, asking to be re-instated.

In the end, they unanimously upheld his termination.

City council Represenative for district 9, Attorney Peter Murphy was our guest. He talked about how public employees, such as police officers have the right to appeal their termination in a public hearing. He also says there is a possibility that the former police officer Kenneth Freeman could appeal this most recent decision. He took calls on the livelines about social security disability.
