GERALD RIGGS JR.

Gerald Riggs Jr. is a High School Football analyst for Channel 3 Eyewitness Sports. You can see him this fall on Channel 3's Friday Night Football program. Riggs studied broadcasting at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Riggs attended Red Bank High School and helped lead the team to a 15-0 season and the school's first state championship in football in 2000. Riggs also won the Tennessee Mr. Football award that season. He played in the 2002 U.S. Army All-American game.

After high school, Riggs earned a scholarship to play for the University of Tennessee Vols. Riggs was one of 2 different 1,000 plus yard rushers for Tennessee in 2004, a first in Tennessee football. Riggs was a preseason All-American in 2005.

In 2006, Riggs signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins. He is now back home in Chattanooga and says he is excited to join the Channel 3 family.
