CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A group of kids from the Tennessee Valley are broadening their horizons in the outdoors this weekend at the fourth annual Camp Horizon.
The camp was designed for children with physical disabilities. At the camp the children are paired with a UTC physical therapy doctoral student.
This weekend the kids will have the opportunity to go horseback riding, canoeing, enjoy a campfire and really experience the outdoors.
Campers say it's a chance for them to do something they wouldn't normally get to do.
"It allows me to get out of the house and meet new people and hang out with people I never hung out with before," said Rachel Cannon.
The camp was started in 2005 by physical therapist Lindsey Sharpe.
