CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - New details are beginning to emerge in the fatal collision on Lake Chickamauga on Saturday.

The nine-barge tow, Bearcat, hit a small fishing boat, killing Richard Wilkey, 42, of Soddy-Daisy, and Tim Spidle, 45, of Elizabethton.  Wilkey's nephew, David "Chris" Wilkey, 37, survived with no injuries.

We have learned the very same barge, Bearcat, hit a fishing boat last year on Watts Bar Lake. That crashed happened at 2:30 in the morning and killed one person.

A civil suit is still pending in federal court, but the grand jury never returned an indictment.

The Coast Guard and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency is still investigating the crash on Chickamauga Lake.
