CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- A female student had to be restrained by being tasered Thursday afternoon at Brainerd High School.
Sources tell Eyewitness News that there was "a girl fight" in the hall around 1:30 p.m.
According to Janice Atkinson with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, a female student entered a classroom during class and started assaulting another female student. The School Resource Officer was called and she tried to stop the fight. When the female student who started the fight refused to stop, she was tased.
The Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services was called to check the girl and paramedics transported her to a hospital after she complained of shortness of breath. She will be charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
