Chattanooga Police Investigate Apparent Home Invasion

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) --  Chattanooga Police investigate a shooting that happened around 12:30 p.m. at 3301 Pinewood Drive. 

 
According to investigators, the shooting was possibly a home invasion gone bad.  The victim, Derrick Houston, 30 years of age, was shot in the hand when he fought with an intruder that attempted to rob him in his home.  The black male suspect fled the scene and Houston drove himself to the hospital. 
He was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand and released.
