Sack packs help address issue of child hunger

One in four children is food insecure, which means they miss at least one meal a day or don't know where their next meal will come from. The Sack Pack program is one way the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is addressing the issue of child hunger.

Senior grocery program in Meigs County

Seniors age 65 and older are the largest growing population living in poverty, according to the U.S. census.  Many live on fixed incomes and must make choices between paying bills and putting food on the table.  Now a new program at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is putting a spotlight on the issue of senior hunger.  With the help of a grant from AARP, the food bank has started a senior grocery program in Meigs County.  A county hit hard by unemployment and poverty.
