Popcorn SuttonKNOXVILLE (WRCB) - Iconic moonshiner Popcorn Sutton was sentenced to 18 months in jail Monday. He'll also serve two years supervised release.
However, Sutton's attorneys say he is in poor health and might die in prison.
Last year Sutton pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and to one count of knowingly distilling spirits.
As part of his plea agreement, Sutton agreed to allow his moonshining photos and videos and criminal history to be used for educational and prevention purposes.
