WRCB First in Chattanooga to Go Local HD

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - WRCB is making television history in Chattanooga by becoming the first station in the market to broadcast syndicated programming and locally produced commercials and promos in high definition.

WRCB airs an HD version of Ellen each weekday at 10:00 a.m. and an HD version of Entertainment Tonight (ET) each weeknight at 7:00 p.m.  A high definition version of Inside Edition is coming soon. WRCB is also airing locally produced promotional spots in high definition. On weekends, Entertainment Tonight Weekend Saturdays at 7:00p.m., CSI-NY Saturdays at 1:00a.m., CSI-Miami at 4a.m., Storm Stories Sundays at 6:30a.m. are all in HD.

The NBC network is already broadcasting primarily in high definition. By WRCB taking the first step to HD on the local level, viewers are able to see even more programming in the highest quality available. Beginning in Fall, 2009, WRCB will also broadcast the new syndicated program from Dr. Oz in High Definition.

WRCB-DT is available on Comcast Channel 432 in Hamilton County; on Charter Cable's Channel 703; on ETC Cable's Channel 405; on Dalton Utilities/Optilink's Channels 663 and 203. WRCB-DT can be seen over the air on Channel 3.1.
