FORT OGLETHORPE, GA (WRCB) Crowds filled the Fort Oglethorpe Wal-Mart Friday morning looking for deals. The parking lot was nearly full from 2 AM until Mid-morning.
Many shoppers filled the store in the wee hours of the morning, gathering up their items. They then waited unitl 5 AM when Black Friday prices went into effect. Many special sale items were kept locked up and under guard of employees until 5. There were no major incidents but some shoppers told Eyewitness News a few arguments happened over toys.
"There's a lot of people fighting and aruging this morning, and I don't believe in that," said Shopper Christy Shaw. "I mean, just have fun."
By 8 AM, the store settled down and most shoppers had moved on, but many great deals were still available. Many shoppers say they're spending less this season and came to Wal Mart to make their money last longer.
