In the Drive for Volkswagen the city of Chattanooga and Hamilton County will spend 6-million-dollars on a new welcome center.
Each will chip in 3-million with Volkswagen throwing in another 6-million dollars.
The center will be located near the new VW plant along Interstate 75.
It will serve partly as a Volkswagen showcase and exhibit the shared values of VW and Chattanooga, particularly environmental responsibility.
