Bond Reduced for School Trainer Accused of Sex Crimes

A judge significantly reduced bond for a Marion County man charged with sex crimes.

Jack Owens appeared in court Wednesday on five felony charges, including statutory rape and carrying a weapon on school property.

Owens was a substitute teacher at Marion County High School.

And he was a trainer for the football team.

Wednesday, the judge reduced his bond from $250,000 to $75,000.

The weapons charge was dropped.

The judge also ordered owens to stay away from minors.
