ICE Agents Investigate Pilgrim's Pride in Chattanooga

Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement have converged on a chicken processing plant in Chattanooga.

ICE spokesperson Letty Zamarrita says the the year long investigation centers on the Pilgrims Pride plant at Main and Market Street.

No confirmation of arrests have been made yet but an Eyewitness News reporter did see a Hispanic worker taken into custody. Exact numbers will be released later.

An assistant manager for the Cancun restaurant came to the the staging site for the investigation to find out what was going on. He told Eyewitness News that workers are not coming to his restaurant because they are nervous about what is going on.
