OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Thunder hope dynamic point guard Russell Westbrook is the difference when they meet the Memphis Grizzlies in the playoffs. A year ago, Memphis blew past Oklahoma City in the Western Conference semifinals, but the Thunder were without Westbrook because he injured his right knee during the first round.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi continued its roster overhaul yesterday with the signing of Tennessee State transfer M.J. Rhett. The 6-foot-9 Rhett adds more depth to the Rebels' frontcourt. He averaged 10.9 points and a team-leading 9.1 rebounds per game last season at Tennessee State.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Student-athletes who seek transfers due to "difficult life circumstances" might have to sit out a season but gain an extra year of eligibility starting in 2015-16. The NCAA says the proposed change would give athletes a year to focus on academics and the circumstance that led them to seek a transfer.

ATLANTA (AP) - TNT analyst Craig Sager will miss the NBA playoffs as he undergoes treatment for leukemia. A sideline reporter famous for his brightly colored suits, Sager describes the postseason as "my favorite time of year - city to city, round by round, 40 games in 40 nights."
