ATLANTA (AP) - Forecasters say high winds and heavy rains are expected across much of Georgia.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory of gusts of up to 35 mph from 1 p.m. today to 2 a.m. tomorrow.

ATLANTA (AP) - The Department of Early Care and Learning is reminding childcare providers and parents about the dangers of leaving children in unattended cars. Officials said in a statement that a 5-year-old was left in a van in Macon Monday for more than four hours.

ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed says developers already have made offers for a baseball stadium that will be vacant once the Atlanta Braves move to the suburbs. Reed says the city has gotten multiple offers for the 77-acre property Turner Field sits on in southwest Atlanta. Reed says regardless of how Turner Field is redeveloped, the city will preserve Hank Aaron's home run monument.

ATLANTA (AP) - A broken water main break that led crews to close an Atlanta intersection has begun leaking again, prompting the closure of DeKalb Avenue before dawn. Water was blowing across the busy thoroughfare on the city's east side about 5 o'clock this morning. The water main broke yesterday morning.
