
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Another 40 jobs are coming to Knox County as Gerdau (gair-DOW') expands its steel reinforcement bar plant. The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development says the new plant will apply finishing services to rebar now made at the company's Lonsdale mill.
FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Families and friends will be meeting loved ones this week at Fort Campbell, where more soldiers are returning to the post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border from Afghanistan.
About 240 soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team, known as the "Rakkasans," are due home tonight.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Nashville say Texas state troopers and deputy U.S. marshals have arrested a homicide suspect in Lyford, Texas. Eric Lozano, who is 31 years old and from Lyford, was arrested last night in the killing of Mitchel Moreno in a Nashville motel room. Moreno was 52 and was from the Denmark community in Madison County, Tenn.
MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) - The University of Tennessee at Martin says it will offer a degree in nursing at its Decatur County location beginning next year. The university says its Parsons Center location will offer a Bachelor of Science in nursing in the fall of 2014.
