CHATTANOOGA, (WRCB) A group of students spent some time in school over the weekend but not for grades.
The Boys Leadership Academy was held at Brainerd High School, but drew young men from across the area.
Organizers put together classes on a wide range of topics that teens deal with.
The goal, to help them make the most of their lives.
Mentor, Temus Terry, "Consisting of helping these guys out getting them involved in mentor programs, getting them to understand what we need from them in the community. There's a need to guide these guys into colleges, keep them away from gangs and just be proactive about everything."
Topics ranged from bullying, to hip-hop to STD prevention.
