Knoxville, TN -- Tuesday a suspect in a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation theft and official misconduct case pled no contest to official misconduct and ordered to pay restitution to Fentress County, TN.

Fred "Butch" Blevins, 56, of Jamestown, TN was indicted in December 2009 after the Grand Jury heard evidence of Blevins taking money for personal use after cashing in scrap metal that was the property of the county.

As part of the plea, Blevins was sentenced to four years unsupervised probation and ordered to pay back the $8,742 in missing funds to the highway department.

He also must pay $450 in court costs and $2500 to the county which was the cost of the audit.

The theft charges against Blevins were dismissed.
