NASHVILLE, TN (WRCB) A bill to make animal cruelty a felony in Tennessee is being considered in the legislature.
Right now, animal cruelty is only a misdemeanor.
The new measure would make it a felony to starve livestock. Sadistic behavior toward livestock would also be a felony.
The bill faces a tough road, because it does not have support from the Tennessee Farm Bureau.
