No New Trial for Man Convicted in Signal Mountain Murders

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA,TN (WRCB) A man convicted twice in the "Signal Mountain Murders" will not get another trial.

The Tennessee Court of Appeals upheld the conviction of Frank Casteel.

He shot and killed three ATV riders on his property in 1988.

The bodies of Ken Griffith, Richard Mason and Earl Smock were found in Marion County.

Casteel's attorneys say several mistakes were made at the last trial, but a judge said the defense failed to prove it in the filing.
