Chattanooga to be initial market for Nissan electric cars

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga will be one of the first markets where Nissan's new all-electric car will be sold. It was on display earlier this month.

Today, a company that hopes to launch a number of charging stations for electric cars received $350 million in venture capital to create spots where batteries can be swapped in the time it takes to fill-up now.

Electric powered cars currently have about a 100-mile range before their batteries die.
