UPDATED TUESDAY, JANUARY 12 4:35 PM

Progress was made on a water main break in North Chattanooga, and school will be open tomorrow.

Normal Park Upper and CSLA were both closed Tuesday because of the break on Dallas Road

The school system says water and power have been restored and all students should report tomorrow.

TENNESSEE VALLEY (WRCB) -- The Tennessee Valley has seen its share of water main breaks, and we may not have seen the worst of it.

A water main burst Monday morning on Dallas Road. Officials say there have been so many breaks that even supervisors are out working on repair sites.

They also say as temperatures start inching above freezing there could be more breaks, as the earth shifts and pipes start to thaw.
