JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Jefferson City say a 14-year-old boy collapsed and died at a middle school.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reported the death of Ryan Collins of New Market.
Jefferson City Police Chief William Clark said the boy "apparently passed out" shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday in the gym of Jefferson Middle School. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Clark said it wasn't clear whether Collins was exercising before falling unconscious and said the boy had some medical problems.
