CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) An odor forced a brief evacuation at Brown Elementary Thursday. Students and staff went to a nearby church while the gas company and fire department inspected. Turns out, it was an overheated heater, and everyone was allowed back in. Just in time for a Cultural Diversity Summit. Fifth graders were given a taste of the world, by UTC social work students. The college students taught fifth graders what diversity means here in Chattanooga, and why it's important to our community.
