Your Confidential Tip Could Earn You $1,000

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - In our Crime Stoppers report, we're looking for some guys who vandalized the Marriott Hotel in Downtown Chattanooga. Chattanooga Police say they were caught on tape.

Investigators say the three young men you can see in the surveillance footage are responsible for vandalizing the Marriott Downtown

"This is our garage. We think they entered here and must have come through the hotel and propped the door open and came this way," said Marriott General Manager, Joe Duperre.

Duperre says that's when the trio went through the back of the restaurant.

"Somebody popped the lock on the fridge and attempted to take the alcohol," he said.

Duperre says that's when the suspects stocked up on beer and wine to the tune of about $400 worth. 

He says, "They must have gotten spooked. They put all the bottles in a plastic bag and dropped it and took off running."

It's a mess that's long since been cleaned. But the loss is still there.

Duperre says, "We believe it was just kids trying to get free alcohol and failed, but nonetheless, it is vandalism."
