SODDY DAISY, TN (WRCB) A local high school band will be marching in the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade, and they're working hard to raise the money to go. The Soddy Daisy High School band teamed up with Zaxby's Monday to raise funds for the trip. Four area Zaxby restaurants will donate 10 percent of their total sales to the band, throughout the day, hoping to raise the remaining 20-thousand needed for expenses for the 145 member band. Soddy Daisy is one of 15 marching bands chosen to take part in the New Year's Day parade in Pasadena, California. About a thousand bands applied. Storm Alert Meteorologist David Karnes will be going with the band to the parade. He'll bring us a behind the scenes look throughout their trip. You can catch them on Eyewitness News or right here on WRCBTV.com. The Tournament of Roses Parade can be seen here on Channel 3.
