Chattanooga, TN. (WRCB)- Tennessee American Water has started replacement of a 12-inch water main located in the 1100 block of Broad Street.
Upon notification of a potential water main break, Tennessee American Water maintenance personnel responded quickly and identified the source of leakage and made the initial repairs.
During the repair process, it was determined that an additional 1,200 feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe should be replaced to ensure the continued high quality and reliable water service for years to come.
In 2009, Tennessee American Water has invested $3.6 million on water infrastructure investments to ensure our commitment to reliable water service for our customers.
During the construction work, the 1100 block of Broad Street will remain closed to traffic.
Motorists are asked to be patient and to follow the posted detour signs.
