Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga police search for clues in the bold robbery of prescription painkiller from a local pharmacy.

Investigators say the hold-up of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 5441 Highway 153 happened around 8pm Monday night. Employees say a white male jumped the pharmacy counter and brandished a small silver pocket knife. He demanded all of the Oxycontin in the pharmacy. After getting the medication, he jumped the counter and fled the store.

Unfortunately, the video surveillance system was not working. But police do have a description of the suspect. He is:

  •  a white male
  •  28-32 years old
  •  around 6 feet tall
  •  about 180 pounds
  •  wearing a black toboggan
  •  a tan colored hooded/jacket
  •  tan cargo shorts

No one was injured. If you have any information on the robbery, call Chattanooga police at 698-2525 or call Crime Stoppers at 698-3333.
