CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- A Chattanooga man was seriously hurt in a single car crash Wednesday night.

Police were called to the scene at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday on reports of entrapment at 4500 North Access Road. Officers found 29-year-old Viengsamay Moungsiharath trapped inside his car.

Traffic investigators say he was traveling west on North Access Road at a very high rate of speed when his car crossed the eastbound lanes and left the roadway. It struck a light pole and then another pole before coming to a stop.

Paramedics pulled Moungsiharath from the wreckage and took him to Erlanger where he's listed in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
