Underwater Pumpkin Carving at the Tennessee Aquarium

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) What would a scuba diver use to carve a pumpkin? A Swordfish? Nah.

Turns out they'd use a knife just like everyone else.

To celebrate the arrival of Halloween month, a couple of divers donned costumes and sank a big gourd to the bottom of the Tennessee Aquarium's Lake Nickajack Exhibit, then went about turning the pumpkin, which measured 6-feet in circumference, into a jack-o-lantern.

Even the fish cruised by to have a look.

Giant pumpkin sightings signal a month of "Thrills, Gills and Chills" at the Tennessee Aquarium throughout October!
