MARYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Alcoa High School was leading Fulton High in Knoxville when the game was called an account of a sinkhole.
The Daily Times of Maryville reported the game was down to 6:33 left in the final quarter when the hole opened up near a sideline Thursday night, leaving an unplayable field.
Officials stopped the game with Alcoa leading 20-7.
The last few minutes were to be played at 5 p.m. Friday at Alcoa's field. No admission was to be charged.
